Gloria Estefan responds to Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Halftime’ comments

Gloria Estefan didn’t perform with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira during the Super Bowl LIV halftime show, but she did have some thoughts.

Fill During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Estefan revealed that she hadn’t seen the documentary “Half Hour,”in some text

which shows how Lopez prepares for her big gig. Estefan said he had heard about the film

but Lopez said it was “the worst idea in the world” to host a halftime show with Shakira

on the project because of how difficult it was to fit two actors into such a short show.

“You have very little time,” Estefan, who previously performed during the 1990s halftime show, said onstage.

Estefan said, “You’ve got 12 minutes or so to go on set and cut, so can you do it with one person?” said

“Yeah, but I think they wanted a Miami, Latin shot. They tried to pack in as much as they could, and they killed it.”

He turned down the chance to appear on the show with the pair, saying he would only sing the first words to his hit song “Conga” if he was allowed to.

“Imagine what J.Lo would have said if I was the third?” Estefan said,

joking that she doesn’t need to diet in December to be ready for the Super Bowl in February. .

Along with Lopez and Shakira, guest appearances included J Balvin, Bad Bunny, and Lopez’s child, Emme Muniz.
